The beta is why half the pre-orders on this game get placed, and it is also the bit people get wrong most often. Beta access isn't sold separately: it comes with the pre-order, and it is tied to the platform that pre-order belongs to. Which means the small label on the offer you click decides whether you're playing that weekend or watching other people play. Here is how the four platforms stand, and which offers can actually get you in.
Access travels with the pre-order, not with the game
Three things follow from that, and all three cost money if you miss them:
- The platform has to match. A code for one ecosystem won't open a beta on another. If you intend to play the beta on a console, the pre-order has to be the console one — not the PC offer that happened to be twelve euros cheaper.
- A shared account won't get you in. Nothing lands on your profile, so there is nothing for the beta access to attach to. Those offers are always the cheapest on the page and for this purpose they are worth nothing.
- The delivery date matters more than usual. A code that arrives after the beta has closed still gets you the game in October. It doesn't get you the beta, and no refund policy covers that.
The exact dates, how long the window runs and the PC requirements are all published by the publisher on its own channels, which is the only place worth reading them. What we can tell you for certain is which of the offers we carry are capable of honouring them.
The four platforms, side by side
Same game, four separate pages, and a price spread that has nothing to do with the game:
| Platform | Cheapest offer that does carry access | What sits below it |
|---|---|---|
| PC, Battle.net | € (with coupon GCDKGamivo) at Gamivo | A shared account, which is no use |
| PC, Microsoft Store | € (with coupon GOCDKEYS10) | Nothing cheaper of its own kind |
| Xbox | at | An account at |
| PS5 | € | An account, and nothing else at all |
| Switch 2 | None yet | A single account, at € (with coupon Gocdkeys) |
Look at the last two rows together and it jumps out: the same seller is asking exactly the same amount for an account on every platform. An account priced identically across four different ecosystems isn't four products, and it certainly isn't four ways into four different betas.
Preload is the second deadline, and nobody plans for it
Preload doesn't start until the game is genuinely attached to your account. So a late delivery costs you twice: the beta, and then a full download on launch day instead of a client already unpacked and waiting. On a shooter this size that isn't a detail. That's your evening.
Xbox prices, coupons already applied
Region tags are worth a second look here. Several console offers are issued for one specific region and get checked against your account's country at redemption, which on a pre-order happens weeks after you paid. Once you find one that clears both the label check and the region check, you can buy Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 key straight from it.

Doubts about getting in
Where do the beta dates and PC requirements come from?
The publisher, on its own site and channels. Everything else is a copy of that with a headline on top, and the requirements in particular get misquoted constantly. Read the source before you upgrade a graphics card.
Does beta progress carry over to the full game?
Historically a few cosmetic unlocks have carried and ordinary progression has not. Treat the beta as a test of whether your machine and your patience are up to it, rather than a head start.
Which edition do I need for access?
That's the other half of the decision and it has its own breakdown: what each pre-order tier actually pays for. That post is for choosing the edition; this one is for not missing the beta.
If the weekend is the whole point
Get the platform right first. Then take a plain code, rather than an account or a gift. Prefer a Global region tag if you can. And weigh the seller's delivery record above the last two euros. Everything else about this purchase — which tier, whether to wait for a discount, what the subscription question does to it — is in the pre-order breakdown linked above, and it's worth reading before you commit.
