Helldivers 2 maintains podium position in the U.S.

Although the game was released on February 8th, it continues to be at the top of the sales charts worldwide. But if we focus on the United States, Helldivers 2 has been the most successful game of 2024 so far, surpassing heavyweights like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Tekken 8.

The game from Arrowhead Game Studios for Sony has exceeded all expectations by becoming one of the best-selling titles on both PlayStation (both physical and digital sales) and the Steam platform. In the United States, approximately 60% of sales are for PC. Although exact figures have not been provided, it is estimated that sales exceed 8 million copies, thus marking the seventh best month of release for a Sony game in the country.

Regarding other notable releases, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, released on February 29th, has managed to reach the second position in sales, becoming the fourth best-selling game of 2024 so far. Additionally, the special edition Final Fantasy VII Remake & Rebirth Twin Pack, which includes both games, ranked eighth in February and 16th for the year.

If these data were not enough, Sony is in luck with the start of this year, as PlayStation 5 has led sales both in February and so far this year, both in units and in revenue. The Nintendo Switch occupied the second place in units sold, while the Xbox Series positioned itself as the second in revenue, partly due to its higher price compared to the Nintendo console.
