The Quarry looks best on PC, and among current consoles Xbox Series X wins on the steadier resolution.
On PC the game takes 4K with ultra settings and clearly better shadows than any console version, even if they cost you: the high setting can eat up to 25fps. It is also the only place you are not tied to 30fps: on the Ultra + preset we measured 98-106 fps on an RTX 3080 Ti and 91-99 on an RTX 3080.
Both reconstruct 2160p, but Series X holds up better: its native floor is 2738×1540 against PS5039;s 2560×1440, and it usually lands at 2160p while PS5 hovers around 2052p. The PS5 version also lost its godrays. Against it, high quality textures sometimes take a beat longer to appear on Series X.
Series S drops to a dynamic 1440p and cuts vegetation, textures, tessellation, ambient occlusion, lighting, shadows and depth of field. Among the older machines Xbox One X is the sharpest of the four, while PS4 and One S share a window that starts at 1120×630.
The game draws black bars during gameplay on all platforms, so what you see is lower than the horizontal figure suggests. And on console the 30fps cap is locked, with the odd stretch of stutter.

Resolution, modes and FPS come from the video analyses above. The rest is published by each platform's official store and by the game's technical sheet on PC. Where nobody publishes the figure we put a dash, not a guess.

PC, which takes 4K with ultra settings and has considerably better shadows than any console version. On console the best image is Xbox Series X: it holds 2160p more often than PS5 and keeps the godrays the PS5 version lost.
No. On PS5, Series X and Series S the game is locked at 30fps, with occasional stuttering. If you want more, PC is the only route.
Both reconstruct 2160p, but Series X starts from a higher native floor (2738×1540 against 2560×1440) and sits at 2160p more often. In exchange, high quality textures sometimes stream in slower on Series X.
At a dynamic 1440p and 30fps, with 1260p as the most common count. It trims vegetation, textures, tessellation, ambient occlusion, lighting, shadows and depth of field, and its UI is drawn at 2560×1440 rather than 4K.
It is playable, but resolution takes a real hit: PS4 and Xbox One S move between 1120×630 and 1600×900, and One S sits at the bottom of that window more often. PS4 Pro reaches a reconstructed 1440p and Xbox One X is the sharpest of the four.
On the Ultra + preset we measured 107-120 fps on an RX 6900 XT LC, 98-106 on an RTX 3080 Ti, 91-99 on an RTX 3080 and 84-95 on an RX 6800, across 27 cards in total. Watch the shadows on high: they can cost up to 25fps.
