Why PC wins

It is the only version with 4K, HDR, 120 FPS, ultrawide and an adjustable field of view. It also has by far the most upscaling options: DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, XeSS 1.3 and TSR, plus frame generation from NVIDIA and AMD including DLSS multi frame generation. Consoles only get FSR.

On console

PS5 and Series X match each other on modes and resolutions: 2160p/30 in fidelity, 1800p/30 with ray tracing and 1440p/60 in performance. The gap shows with frame generation on, where Series X reaches about 95 FPS while PS5 sits between 85 and 90 depending on the test.

Series S and last-gen hardware

Series S keeps all three modes, balanced at 1440p and 40 FPS included, but drops to 1440p in fidelity and loses ray tracing. PS4 Pro offers fidelity at 1440p/30 and performance at dynamic 1080p and 60 FPS; PS4 makes do with one mode at 1080p and 30 FPS.

Frame generation is always paid for in resolution: in performance mode the consoles drop to dynamic 1080p or 900p to get it.
