The best version of Stray is the PC one, and among consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X are level.
PC wins on lighting, shadows, post-processing effects and textures, and it loads faster than any console. It does not ask for an expensive machine either: we measured 27 cards on this game at 1080p on High, and a Radeon RX 6900 XT LC runs it at 221-235 FPS.
On console there is no mode to pick: the three versions analysed have a single one, at 60 FPS. PS5 and Series X run at 2160p, Series S drops to 1080p and also cuts post-processing and anisotropic filtering. PS5 loads slightly faster than Xbox and stutters slightly less often.
On price, the cheapest key is on PC at 10.16 €, followed by Xbox at 13.69 €. We track no key on PS5, PS4 or Switch: the PlayStation disc is 29.99 € and the Switch card 26.59 €.
⚠ On PC there is no HDR and no anisotropic filtering, and ray tracing only arrives through mods.

Resolution, modes and FPS come from the video analyses above. The rest is published by each platform's official store and by the game's technical sheet on PC. Where nobody publishes the figure we put a dash, not a guess.

Xbox is the Series X column unless Series S is stated. Resolution, modes, FPS, VRR and download size come from the videos; HDR, ray tracing and PC features from the technical sheet and the official Xbox catalogue.

PC: better lighting, better shadows, better post-processing effects and better textures than any console version. Among consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X are level at 2160p and 60 FPS.
PS5 and Xbox Series X run at 2160p and 60 FPS. Xbox Series S sits at 1080p, also at 60 FPS.
Just one on all three versions analysed, always at 60 FPS. There is no quality-versus-performance choice to make.
Resolution, down to 1080p, plus post-processing effects and anisotropic filtering. Everything else stays fairly close to Series X.
Yes, with a caveat. The analysis finds slight stutter on every version, somewhat more common on Xbox Series X and PC, but does not consider it serious.
On PC, followed by PS5.
Not much for what you get. We measured 27 cards at 1080p on High: a Radeon RX 6900 XT LC gives 221-235 FPS and an RTX 3080 Ti gives 209-226. On the requirements page you can pick yours and see the exact figure.
Not out of the box. PCGamingWiki records no HDR, and ray tracing only arrives through mods. There is no anisotropic filtering either, though 4K, 120 FPS and limited ultrawide are supported.
We do not know. The video analysis we use covers PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, and no technical data is published for the PS4 and Switch versions. We would rather leave those cells empty than infer them from another console.
The cheapest key is on PC at 10.16 €, with Xbox at 13.69 €. There is no key on PS5, PS4 or Switch: the PlayStation disc is 29.99 € and the Switch card 26.59 €. Watch out for account offers, cheaper because they are not a purchase in your name.
