The best version of Silent Hill f is the PC one, though out of the box it sits below console in some settings.
This one is unusual. The analysis states that the PC maximum preset is below the console versions in some areas. PC only pulls ahead once you edit Unreal Engine 5039;s Engine.ini to force hardware ray tracing: that changes ambient occlusion and shading, and reflections gain resolution in puddles and metals. It costs 20 to 30 FPS.
And frames are not this game039;s strong suit. We measured 31 cards on the Max preset: only 17 clear 60 FPS at 1080p, six hold them at 1440p and one at 4K. An RTX 3060 sits at 30-33 FPS at 1080p, while an RTX 5090 gives 125-136 at 1080p and 61-67 at 4K. With numbers like those, forcing hardware ray tracing is not for every machine.
On console, PS5 has two modes and PS5 Pro only one. Performance mode trades resolution, shadows, ambient occlusion and post-processing for 60 FPS, and it delivers: both consoles are stable, with cutscenes locked at 30. The price is render resolution, 1080p-720p on average on PS5 Pro and 720p-360p to 1440p on PS5, all upscaled to 2160p. For Xbox we only have the official catalogue: HDR, Dolby Atmos, cloud saves and Xbox Play Anywhere. The cheapest key is on PC at 24.19 €, against 35 € on Xbox and 69.99 € on PS5.
⚠ PS5 Pro carries PSSR noise in some shadows and in ambient occlusion, and there is no option to turn it off.

Resolution, modes and FPS come from the video analyses above. The rest is published by each platform's official store and by the game's technical sheet on PC. Where nobody publishes the figure we put a dash, not a guess.

FPS measured at 1080p on Max quality, across 31 graphics cards. These are measurements on this game, not estimates.

PC, with a caveat. Out of the box its maximum preset sits below console in some areas; the jump comes from forcing hardware ray tracing through the Engine.ini file, which improves ambient occlusion, shading and reflections. On console, the best image is PS5 Pro.
It asks a lot for what it shows. Of the 31 cards we measured on the Max preset, only 17 clear 60 FPS at 1080p, six hold them at 1440p and one at 4K. And hardware ray tracing, which you have to enable by hand, costs another 20-30 FPS.
For 60 FPS at 1080p on the Max preset you need recent high-end hardware: an RTX 4070 Ti gives 62-69 FPS and an RTX 5070 gives 61-67. An RTX 3060 sits at 30-33 FPS and an RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB at 42-46. The RTX 5090 is the only card holding 60 at 4K, with 61-67.
Two on PS5 and only one on PS5 Pro. The PS5 performance mode gives up resolution, shadows, ambient occlusion and post-processing to reach 60 FPS.
Lower than it looks. PS5 Pro renders at 1080p-720p on average, and PS5 swings between 720p-360p at the worst of performance mode and 1440p at its best. Everything is upscaled to 2160p, and the analysis specifically criticises starting from 720p to get there.
Yes. PS5 and PS5 Pro both hold a stable frame rate. What does grate, according to the analysis, are the sequences that alternate cutscenes locked at 30 FPS with gameplay at 60.
It raises average render resolution to 1080p-720p and uses PSSR, but it carries that technique's noise in certain shadows and in ambient occlusion, as happened in Silent Hill 2 and Metal Gear Solid Delta. The analysis would have liked a switch to turn it off.
PCGamingWiki marks it as partial on PC: the game has no hardware ray tracing in its menus, and you have to force it by editing Engine.ini. There is none on console: on PS5 Pro vegetation barely interacts with global illumination and in some cases casts no shadow.
There is no video analysis of that build, so we have no resolution or frame rate figures. What the official catalogue does declare is HDR, Dolby Atmos, cloud saves, current-generation optimisation and Xbox Play Anywhere.
The cheapest key is on PC, at 24.19 €. The Xbox key goes to 35 € and the PS5 key to 69.99 €, though the PS5 disc is 57.90 €. Account offers (8.30 € on PC, 12.58 € on PS5) come out cheaper because they are not a purchase in your name.
