Quick verdict

The best version of Sifu is the PC one, and on console PS5 leads.

Best graphics experience PC the best shadows and anti-aliasing, with resolution unlocked
Best console experience PS5 2160p at 60 FPS, high shadows and the shortest loads
Best for the money PC an RTX 3050 delivers results very close to PS5

Why PC wins

PC has the best shadows of any version and anti-aliasing on a par with PS5, plus free rein over settings and resolution. It does not take an expensive rig either: the analysis gets results very close to PS5 out of an RTX 3050.

On console

PS5 reaches 3840x2160 at 60 FPS with shadows matching the high setting, better anti-aliasing than the PS4 consoles and the shortest loading times. PS4 Pro hits the same resolution and the same 60 FPS, but with shadows at low.

Last generation

PS4 stays at 1920x1080 and 60 FPS. Both it and PS4 Pro take some drops, but they hold up well. Texture quality is identical everywhere and every version uses cubemap reflections: this is a well optimised game on any platform.

PS5 has one outstanding bug: distant shadows are not drawn properly, and PS4 does show them.

Frequently asked questions about Sifu

Which platform does Sifu look best on?

PC, mainly because of the shadows, the best of any version, and anti-aliasing on a par with PS5. On console the pick is PS5: 3840x2160, 60 FPS and shadows matching the high setting.

Does it run at 60 FPS on PS4?

Yes. PS4 runs at 1920x1080 and 60 FPS, and PS4 Pro reaches 3840x2160 while keeping those 60. Both take some drops, but they hold up decently.

What does PS5 gain over PS4 Pro?

Not resolution, since both reach 3840x2160. It gains on shadows (high against low), on anti-aliasing and on loading times, the shortest of the console versions.

What rig does it need on PC?

Less than you would think. According to the analysis, an RTX 3050 gets results very close to PS5. We have no measured per-GPU frame rates of our own for this game.

Are there any known bugs?

Yes: on PS5 distant shadows are not drawn correctly. Since PS4 does draw them, the analysis puts it down to a bug in the PS5 version rather than a settings choice.
