Quick verdict

Scorn looks best on PC, and Xbox Series X is the console benchmark: 2160p at 60fps with settings equivalent to PC's high preset.

Best graphics experience PC 2160p at max settings, above the Series X equivalence
Best console experience Xbox Series X 2160p at 60fps with settings matching PC's high preset

What PC wins

On PC the game runs at 2160p with everything maxed, a step above the equivalence the analysis grants Series X. Our own measurements on the Very high preset give 289-310 fps on an RTX 3080 Ti and 269-288 on an RTX 3080: this is not a game that demands a modern machine to run comfortably.

Xbox Series X, no caveats

Series X holds 2160p and 60fps with settings equivalent to PC's high preset, and loading times land where you would expect. If you are playing on the couch, this is the reference version.

Series S pays a toll

Series S stops at 1080p, still at 60fps, but with a shorter LOD distance and weaker texture filtering. It keeps the smoothness, which matters most here, and gives up detail.

One note on upscaling

Ebb Software announced DLSS for the PC version, but it was not in the game when the analysis was made. If you were counting on it, treat it as unconfirmed.

Frequently asked questions about Scorn

Which platform does Scorn look best on?

PC, where the analysis tested it at 2160p with everything maxed. On console the best image belongs to Xbox Series X: 2160p at 60fps with settings equivalent to PC's high preset.

Does it run at 60fps on console?

Yes, on both Xbox Series X and Series S. What separates them is resolution, 2160p against 1080p, and detail.

What do you lose on Xbox Series S?

Resolution, LOD distance and texture filtering quality. In exchange it holds the same 60fps as Series X.

What graphics card do I need on PC?

Not much for what it delivers: the entire RTX 30 range maxes it out without trouble. On the Very high preset we measured 289-310 fps on an RTX 3080 Ti, 269-288 on an RTX 3080 and 237-255 on an RX 6800, across 27 cards in total.

Does it support DLSS?

Ebb Software announced it, but the game did not include it when the analysis was made. We do not treat it as confirmed.

What about the PS5 version?

It arrived almost a year after the others and no technical analysis with resolutions or frame rates has been published, so its column stays empty.
