Quick verdict

The best version of LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight is the PC one, and on console PS5 leads.

Best graphics experience PC 24 of the 29 GPUs average over 60 fps at 1080p on Epic
Best console experience PS5 it does not cut volumetric lighting as far as Series X
Cheapest key PC the cheapest key, ahead of Xbox and PS5
On Steam Deck Struggles to hold 30 FPS on the Gotham map it cannot hold a steady 30 fps

Why PC wins

The PC build is well optimised and the numbers show it: of the 29 cards we measured on the Epic preset, 24 average more than 60 FPS at 1080p, and an RTX 3060 lands at 36-45. At 1440p only 8 manage it, and at 4K just one. The analysis itself plays it on an RTX 3060 Ti at high settings, 1440p, with DLSS.

On console

On console, PS5 and Series X have two modes. Performance drops lighting, shadows and resolution to hit 60 FPS, and that is where PS5 gains ground: it does not cut volumetric lighting as far as Series X.

Steam Deck and Switch 2

The Steam Deck is the weak spot: on the Gotham map it cannot hold a steady 30 FPS, because of the CPU load there. We have no analysed data on the Switch 2 version, so that column stays empty.

Series S is stuck with a single 30 FPS mode, below the performance mode of PS5 and Series X.

LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Steam Deck: graphics comparison

  • PS5 and Xbox Series X have two display modes. Series S gets one, at 30 FPS.
  • Performance mode lowers lighting, shadow and resolution quality to reach 60 FPS.
  • PS5 does not cut volumetric lighting as far as Series X does.
  • Series S applies cuts that leave it below the performance mode of PS5 and Series X.
  • The Steam Deck struggles to hold even 30 FPS on the Gotham map, because of how hard that area hits the CPU.
  • On PC an RTX 3060 Ti runs it on high settings at 1440p with DLSS, so the optimisation is solid.

Frequently asked questions about LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight

Which platform does LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight look best on?

PC, the only one with free resolution and settings, partial ultrawide, 120 FPS and upscaling through TSR, DLSS 4.5, FSR 4 and XeSS 3. Among consoles, PS5 edges Series X because it cuts volumetric lighting less.

How many graphics modes does it have on console?

Two on PS5 and Xbox Series X: quality and performance. Series S only has one, at 30 FPS.

What do you lose in performance mode?

Lighting quality, shadow quality and resolution. That is the toll for 60 FPS. PS5 applies it with a lighter hand than Series X on volumetric lighting.

How does it run on Xbox Series S?

A single 30 FPS mode with cuts that put it below the performance mode of PS5 and Series X.

What graphics card do I need on PC?

Less than you might fear. Of the 29 cards we measured on the Epic preset, 24 average over 60 FPS at 1080p. An RTX 3060 gives 36-45 and an RX 7800 XT 58-72. At 1440p that drops to 8 cards, and at 4K only one manages it.

Does it run on Steam Deck?

With difficulty. The analysis points out that on the Gotham map it cannot hold even 30 FPS, because of how hard that area hits the CPU.

What about Switch 2?

We do not know. The version exists, but no technical analysis measures it, so its column in the table is empty. We would rather leave it blank than estimate it.

Does it have ray tracing?

No data. PCGamingWiki neither confirms nor rules it out on PC, and this game has no published flags in the Xbox catalogue.

Does it support ultrawide?

Partially on PC. Widescreen resolutions are supported, the field of view is adjustable, and multi-monitor needs tweaks.

Which one is cheapest?

The cheapest key is on PC. Above it sit Xbox, PS5 and Switch 2. Prices move every day: the live ones are on each version’s page. Watch out for account offers, cheaper because they are not a purchase in your name.
