The best version of Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is the PC one, and on console PS5 leads.
On PC you set resolution and quality, and you also get ultrawide, multi-monitor, an adjustable field of view and upscaling through DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1 and XeSS 1.3, with frame generation from DLSS and FSR. No version of this game has ray tracing. Of the 31 cards we measured on the highest preset, 17 average more than 60 FPS at 1080p, 14 hold them at 1440p and 2 reach 4K. An RTX 3060 sits at 33-44 and an RTX 3070 at 51-62.
Between consoles there is no argument: PS5 runs at 2160p and 60 FPS, or reconstructed 1800p and 60, and the analysis recommends resolution mode because it holds 60 almost all the time. PS4 stays at 1080p and 30 FPS.
The jump from PS4 to PS5 is not where you would expect. What PS5 gains is post-processing, reworked grass, lip sync on the Japanese voice track and, above all, loads under 2 seconds.
⚠ Textures, reflections, draw distance and anisotropic filtering do not change from PS4 to PS5, and neither does shadow resolution or distance.

PC, and not because of ray tracing, which no version of this game has. The difference is that you pick resolution and quality, plus the extras: ultrawide, multi-monitor, an adjustable field of view and upscaling with DLSS, FSR and XeSS.
60, both at 2160p and at reconstructed 1800p. The analysis recommends resolution mode because it holds 60 almost all the time thanks to reconstruction.
Less than you would think at the asset level. Textures, reflections, draw distance and anisotropic filtering are the same, and shadow resolution and distance have not changed either. What does improve is post-processing (more particles and smoke), the grass, a few specific shadows and lip sync on the Japanese voice track.
On PS5 the loading screens are gone: under 2 seconds to start a save or fast travel.
Only if that is the console you own. It runs at 1080p and 30 FPS with a single mode. On PS4 Pro it climbs to 1800p at 30 FPS or drops to 1080p to reach 60.
Of the 31 cards we measured on the highest preset, 17 average more than 60 FPS at 1080p, 14 hold them at 1440p and only 2 at 4K. An RTX 3060 gives 33-44, an RTX 3060 Ti 44-54 and an RTX 3070 51-62. At the top, an RTX 4090 reaches 130-146.
No. PCGamingWiki marks it as unsupported on PC, and none of the console versions analysed use it.
Yes, both on PC, along with an adjustable field of view and 120 FPS.
The cheapest key is on PC. Above it sit PS5 and PS4. Prices move every day: the live ones are on each version’s page. Watch out for account offers, cheaper because they are not a purchase in your name.
The analysis does not test the PS4 version running on PS5 for this game, so we have no figure of our own. What we do know is that the native PS5 version adds post-processing, near-instant loads and Japanese lip sync.
