Can be a very fun game with friends.... exploring, building, and everything else. there is just one thing I hate about this game, and it is the cannibals! they just keep attacking over and over. I just want a difficulty setting so there are cannibals but they don't come so much and easy to kill in multiplayer. very fun though!

A realistic game with an interesting plot.Challenging to play at first but with a supportive online community, was able to grasp the basics pretty fast.Finished the game in single player.Gives me chills when encountering and fighting the cannibals and mutants.

Sova

Tafa

this game is realy fun, the story is interesting and the gameplay is also fun.
fighting with the large canibals(i hope i wrote it right) is hard and challenging but it feels good after you kill him. buy this game if you can afford it.

It's like LOST, but alone (or with some people) and naked weird people attacking you during the night.

Your plane crash, you have to survive in a forest. Gather food and tools from the crashed plane and move on in the forest to gather new ingredient for your crafting.
During the day, it's relatively calm, you run past weird people, they don't seem very fast. So you try to make your first shelter.
Then, the night comes, even though you have torches, your first shelter is crap, you can't do much but look around you and hope your newly crafted axe will be enough.
Remember those weird naked people who do not run fast during the day? Welp, during the night, it's the contrary, they are even weirder and they've gone berserk.

Jumpscare ahead, lots of hunting and gathering before you can survive in that forest. Like a survival minecraft with stress and great lore being developped. Like "What is in that cave?!".

The Forest Review: Are You Afraid Of The Dark?

The broad premise of The Forest is far from unique A plane crash lands on a seemingly deserted island and you a lone survivor have to figure out a way to survive It doesn't take long however until blood curdling screeches fill the night and glowing eyes appear in the distance Once it sets in that your new home isn't as empty as it first appeared The Forest evolves into a uniquely harrowing adventure that you won't soon forget Cannibals inhabit the grassy fields and pristine lakes around you watching your every move they are the source of The Forest's…

Cute platformer The Forestale is secretly… Doom, kinda?

Taken at face value The Forestale by solo indie dev Yorzh Aleksey isn t a particularly noteworthy game A fairly standard D platformer currently slated for release on Steam It seems decent enough in a early s kinda way but the game itself isn t the interesting bit No what makes The Forestale fascinating is that it s a full indie platformer developed entirely in the GZDoom engine Yes that GZDoom engine The one that powers the likes of The Adventures Of Square Castlevania Simon s Destiny and yes even Brutal Doom I ve said it before but Doom really…

Wot I Think: The Forest

I ve loved The Forest when I ve played it in the past I first took a look in finding it limited but a lot of fun I then went back in to discover it was hugely improved and far more involved I even videoed half an hour of my inept ambling I have been back since then but not written any more but it s probably close to two years since I really dug into it Now it s out in a final version I m surprised how little has changed in the last three years but also pleased…

The Forest Review

I ve been dumped in the middle of a foreboding eerily quiet wilderness like you typically are in open-world first-person survival games As I make my way to the nearest coast I m startled out of my foraging by a bestial grunt and prepare to defend myself But the hunched and disheveled creature pursuing me stops several yards short of tearing my face off and waits to see what I do This was the moment I realize The Forest is going to spend the next ish hours cleverly and terrifyingly subverting my expectations The wooded alpine peninsula that becomes your…
