The best version of Dragons Dogma 2 is the PC one. Between PS5 and Series X the gap is two or three frames.
On PC you set resolution and quality, you get DLSS 3.5, FSR 3.0 and frame generation, and it is the version with the longest draw distance. It also runs best: of the 31 cards we measured on the Very high preset, an RTX 4090 gives 123-136 FPS at 1080p and an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER still holds 92-104, territory no console reaches.
On console there is nothing to choose: all three have a single mode, with the frame rate unlocked between 30 and 45 FPS. Series X averages around 40 and PS5 around 38, but PS5 answers with a slightly higher average resolution and more detailed shadows at distance. Call it a draw.
Ray tracing only touches global illumination and it is there on PC, PS5 and Series X; Series S goes without and also drops to 1440p, with lower-quality reflections.
⚠ Mind the date: the 29 March 2024 patch added the 30 FPS lock on PS5 and the option to switch ray tracing off.

None to pick from: all three consoles have a single display mode. The frame rate runs unlocked and, at launch, could not be pinned at 30 FPS.
Between 30 and 45 on all three. The average is around 40 FPS on Series X, around 38 on PS5 and around 35 on Series S. These are figures observed in the video analysis, not a measurement of ours.
Depends what you look at. Series X averages two or three frames more; PS5 holds a slightly higher average resolution and more detailed shadows, especially in the distance.
On PS5 yes, since the 29 March 2024 patch. At launch no console offered the option. That same patch was announced for Xbox Series in the days that followed.
Yes, on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, and only for global illumination: it does not affect shadows or reflections. Xbox Series S goes without. On PS5 it can be switched off since the 29 March 2024 patch; before that it was on by default and could not be disabled.
Series S renders at 1440p instead of 2160p, has no ray tracing, averages around 35 FPS and shows lower-quality SSR reflections.

On PC, DLSS 3.5 and FSR 3.0, plus frame generation with DLSS. On console, all three versions use temporal reconstruction, and nothing further is published.
The cheapest key is on PC, 12.33 € on Gaming Dragons. On Xbox the key rises to 22 € and on PS5 to 29.99 €. Watch out for account offers, which look cheaper because they are not a purchase in your name.
