Are games becoming too expensive, or are we just getting better at finding deals?

With new games getting more expensive, buying games at full price is becoming harder to justify. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to save money, from official sales to game key stores and bundles.

Personally, I think waiting for a good deal has become part of being a PC gamer. Sometimes you can get a game for a fraction of its original price if you're patient enough.

But I'm curious about your habits:

Do you usually buy games on release, or wait for a discount?

What's the biggest discount you've ever found on a game you really wanted?

Do you prefer buying game keys, shopping on Steam sales, or getting games through bundles?

Have you ever bought a game at full price and regretted it a week later when it went on sale? 😂

Let's hear your best deals and money-saving tips. Maybe someone here will discover their next favorite game without spending a fortune!

In my opinion, games are indeed becoming more expensive, especially when looking at the launch prices of AAA titles. On the other hand, we've never had so many ways to save money. Digital sales, game keys from trusted stores, subscription services, and free content updates allow patient gamers to enjoy great games at a fraction of the original price. So I would say that games are getting more expensive, but at the same time, we're becoming much better at finding great deals.

I think games are really getting expensive because the GTA 6 preorder is 80 or 100 dollars. We should get a job.

It's not that they're too expensive, but there are a lot more new games on offer now, so you just have to wait for the prices to drop.
