If I use SteamDB to look up all the free games and DLC and then that game goes paid eu do I keep the license for it forever?
and what about the games with time-limited access?
anyone know how SteamDB works?

Yeah, SteamDB is really useful for finding games and DLC you can get for free on Steam, but there's one important difference: a game showing up as free for a limited time doesn't necessarily mean you get to keep it forever.
The key is telling apart a permanent license, temporary access, and a game that's simply free to play.
