TBH: Task Bar Hero is a lightweight idle RPG designed to run unobtrusively in your Windows taskbar. The game features three small heroes embarking on continuous automated adventures, requiring minimal interaction from the player. Rather than demanding constant attention, the title generates rewards passively—items accumulate simply by keeping the game running, allowing you to check in whenever convenient to collect loot and manage your party.

The core gameplay loop revolves around progression through idle mechanics. Your heroes automatically battle enemies and complete quests in the background, generating equipment and resources that fill your inventory over time. When you do engage, you collect these rewards and decide how to allocate them. The game emphasizes strategic build-crafting: you can equip items, apply stat modifications through the Cube system to customize gear properties, and compose your party from six distinct character classes. With three-member party combinations and countless skill and item variations, each playthrough can feel unique based on your build choices.

Customization extends beyond simple equipment swaps. The Cube system allows you to enhance items with additional stats before deploying them in combat or trading them on the Steam Community Market. This creates an economic layer where valuable, well-crafted items become tradeable assets. The game supports both casual players who prefer passive progression and those seeking deeper optimization through careful gear management and class synergy.

What sets TBH apart is its form factor—a true widget-style RPG that occupies minimal screen real estate and system resources, making it ideal for players who want an RPG running alongside their daily computing. The free-to-play model with Steam Market integration means progression is never gated behind paywalls, only by time and strategic decision-making. This combination of idle mechanics, build variety, and low-friction accessibility targets players seeking a relaxing, long-term progression experience that respects their attention.
