Spanking Exorcist invites players into the Peach Butt Housing Complex, a nighttime apartment setting shrouded in mystery and supernatural unease. You take on the role of exorcist Ioto Shirihata, tasked with navigating dark hallways and eerie corridors beneath a giant pink moon to confront and exorcise the restless spirits of housewife ghosts that haunt the complex. The game balances its absurdist premise with genuine atmospheric horror, creating an exploration-focused experience where navigation and discovery drive the gameplay forward.

The core loop centers on exploration and ghost encounters. Players must carefully move through the apartment complex, avoiding malevolent spirits while identifying and exorcising the housewife ghosts through the game's unique mechanic. The exploration-horror framework emphasizes atmosphere and tension, rewarding careful observation and strategic movement through the environment. Each encounter presents both danger and opportunity, requiring players to assess situations before engaging with supernatural entities.

Spanking Exorcist distinguishes itself through its unconventional premise and tonal balance. Rather than leaning entirely into comedy or pure horror, the game commits to both elements simultaneously—the crude joke at its core coexists with legitimate atmospheric design and environmental storytelling. The nighttime setting, detailed apartment architecture, and eerie audio design create genuine unease, while the game's premise and character names inject dark humor throughout the experience.

The title appeals to players seeking horror experiences with personality and unconventional design choices. It targets audiences comfortable with mature, absurdist humor who also appreciate atmospheric exploration games. The game does not present itself as erotic content despite its suggestive framing; instead, it offers a straightforward exploration-horror experience with distinctive lore and a memorable setting that stands apart from conventional ghost-hunting narratives.
