ReactorX 4 continues the space-faring puzzle adventures of the series with a fresh mystery. A robot technician and captain receive an SOS signal while navigating an asteroid field, leading them to a mysterious object in deep space. Their mission: restore power to an electrical system to unlock a secret chamber and uncover what awaits inside.

The gameplay builds on the series' signature Sokoban-inspired mechanics, where you control a robot protagonist through grid-based environments in a 2D top-down perspective. Movement is restricted to four cardinal directions, and the core challenge involves manipulating reactor blocks and power systems to complete objectives. The series has established a relaxing, puzzle-focused experience with minimal time pressure.

Key mechanics include pushing and pulling reactor blocks using a magnetic hand device, routing power through directional energy grids, and managing colored reactor systems that must be aligned with corresponding floor tiles. Later levels introduce laser-based color-changing mechanics and increasingly complex spatial arrangements, though the series maintains an accessible difficulty curve.

ReactorX 4 differentiates itself through its narrative continuation—the mysterious space object and secret chamber premise suggests expanded environmental storytelling compared to earlier entries. The game targets casual puzzle enthusiasts and players seeking relaxing, logic-based gameplay without high-stress time limits or combat mechanics. With its sci-fi setting and focus on systematic problem-solving, it appeals to fans of classic Sokoban variants and indie puzzle games.
