The scholar Maphaldo has vanished, and with his disappearance comes catastrophe: undead rise from graves, ghostly armies roam the land, animals turn savage, and verdant forests decay into rotting wastelands. Your party must uncover what happened to Maphaldo and restore balance to the Mystic Land.

Lead a party of six heroes through dungeons and quests across a vast fantasy world filled with ancient mysteries, treacherous dungeons, and powerful enemies. Assemble your party from multiple classes and races, then decide the destiny of the Mystic Land. The game features 2D grid-based movement, strategic turn-based combat, and numerous places to visit and puzzles to solve.

Mystic Land is the first RPG that allows you to play either in 2D pixel-perfect or 3D mode. Quality-of-life improvements include full controller, mouse, and keyboard support with easier inventory and battle strategy management. Expect grid-based exploration and deep turn-based combat with full character customization, including the ability to allocate points into weapon proficiencies—both melee and ranged—and develop unique builds through attributes and skills.

This project started development in 1994 and was shelved for decades until the original team regrouped under MegaVision Software to finally bring their vision to life. The game draws inspiration from Wizardry, Eye of the Beholder, Lands of Lore, and Might & Magic series. Players seeking authentic old-school dungeon crawling with modern accessibility features will find a faithful recreation of 1990s-era computer RPG design.
