A catastrophic blizzard strikes Verlegrove, Florida, its source traced to a sinister anomaly over the Bermuda Triangle. Dafne, an expert pilot, sets off to investigate the mystery. LURRUNA is a Classicvania action platformer that plays through a modern take of old-school game design limitations. Seven uniquely designed levels await players as they traverse through sandy dunes, misty caves, flooded ruins, and burning mountains.

Dafne fights back with specialized arcing bombs that can be charged up to 3 times to change their potency, and can jump, backflip, and roll to get out of sticky situations. In a tribute to classic action-platformers of the 80's, jumping has no mid-air control; Dafne's momentum is stuck until landing, much like the original NES Castlevania games and Capcom's Ghost's n Goblins series. According to developer David Peters, "The fixed-jump system is its own fun language of movement. It encourages players to fight more methodically, and changes how they perceive the gravity of the world."

Each locale presents distinct challenges and enemies, keeping the gameplay dynamic and fresh.
