Kings & Savages is a skill-based auto battler that draws inspiration from Chess and Dota, distilled into a format that respects your time. Matches last approximately one minute, making it accessible for quick gaming sessions without demanding the extensive commitment of traditional strategy games. The game emphasizes intuitive decision-making over complex calculations, creating a fast-paced competitive experience.

In each match, you forge a crew by selecting from a roster of heroes and savages, equipping them with items and abilities as you progress through levels. The core gameplay loop centers on strategic unit placement and composition—you choose your team, they battle automatically, and the outcome depends on your pre-battle decisions. Both players start simultaneously with no first-player advantage, and high opponent visibility enables meaningful counterplay. Non-grid placement provides complete freedom of movement, distinguishing it from traditional auto-battler mechanics.

The game features a dual-mode structure: multiplayer competitive battles and a solo battler mode for single-player progression. Currently, 12 heroes and 24 savages are planned for release, each with unique abilities and skill trees. Heroes can reach level 3 with two skill choices per level and carry up to three items, creating diverse build possibilities and encouraging experimentation across multiple playthroughs.

Kings & Savages targets strategy enthusiasts and competitive players seeking depth without excessive time investment. Developed solo by Marco José Pereira, the game is in Early Access with regular content updates planned.
