With the help of a family acquaintance, David lands what promises to be a unique opportunity at a large Japanese company during one of the country's fastest-growing economic periods. However, his expectations are soon confronted with a very different reality.

Instead of the elegant position on the international sales team he'd been promised, David finds himself working in an old factory on the outskirts of Tokyo, where he quickly becomes immersed in the complex and absorbing world of industrial automation. His task is to design efficient production lines using various assembly tools such as welding, riveting, cutting, and drilling.

Each project presents a new challenge, where efficiency and creativity go hand in hand. The goal isn't just to make things work, but to do so flawlessly, as elegantly as possible, and in the shortest amount of time.
