Buy Hunt: Showdown 1896 - Sage of Joseon Steam Key

The Sage of Joseon DLC brings Cho Byeong-hak, a seonbi scholar-warrior from Joseon-era Korea, to Hunt: Showdown 1896. Born into privilege in Jeolla Province and trained in martial arts and archery in Yecheon, Byeong-hak abandoned his position at court to pursue reform. During a diplomatic mission to the United States, he overheard whispers of a spreading corruption and chose to investigate rather than return home, bringing his disciplined mind and deadly skills to the bayou.

This cosmetic pack enriches the extraction shooter's core gameplay loop without altering mechanics. Hunt: Showdown 1896 remains a PvPvE experience where players hunt supernatural bosses across atmospheric maps, claim bounties, and extract with their gains while competing against other hunters. The game demands tactical positioning, sound discipline, and resource management—every firefight carries weight because death means losing your loadout.

The DLC includes seven items tied to Byeong-hak's narrative: the Roaming Sage Hunter character, the Cold Patience Uppercut pistol skin inlaid with mother-of-pearl plum blossoms symbolizing patience and precision, the Yecheon's Treasure Hunting Bow referencing his martial training, the Tiger's Fury Dynamite Stick expressing suppressed rage, and the Winged Purity Waxed Dynamite Stick adorned with painted cranes. A matching avatar and profile frame complete the set.

Each cosmetic carries thematic weight, grounding Byeong-hak's journey in the game's dark 1896 setting. The skins maintain Hunt's gritty aesthetic while introducing Korean cultural elements—plum blossoms, traditional garb, and historical references—without compromising the game's gothic horror atmosphere. This DLC appeals to players seeking character customization that reflects narrative depth and to collectors of Hunt's diverse hunter roster.
