Enter the Depths is a minimalistic dice-building roguelike that strips away excess to focus on strategic depth. You descend into an ever-shifting dungeon where your customized dice become your primary tool for survival. Each run begins with a basic set of dice faces, but as you progress deeper, you discover new die faces to attach and customize, building powerful combinations tailored to your playstyle. Whether you focus on raw damage output, defensive control, or poisonous abilities, your dice define your approach to each encounter.

Combat revolves around turn-based strategy and controlled randomness. Each turn, you roll your dice and choose which ones to reroll, attempting to bend luck to your will against dangerous enemies. The system rewards both planning and adaptation—you must anticipate enemy attacks while managing the inherent unpredictability of dice rolls. Relics scattered throughout the Depths grant passive abilities that can dramatically shift your run's trajectory, creating powerful synergies with your dice configuration and rewarding risky strategies.

Progression through the Depths offers meaningful choices at every step. You decide whether to challenge powerful foes for greater rewards or avoid them to preserve resources. You can seek upgrades for your die faces, search for strange encounters, or pursue specific relic combinations. This branching path system ensures no two runs feel identical, and higher Depth Levels unlock additional challenges for veterans seeking greater difficulty.

The game's minimalist aesthetic serves its strategic focus—clean visuals and intuitive mechanics keep the focus on decision-making rather than visual spectacle. Pixel art and a dark fantasy atmosphere create an engaging backdrop without distraction. The ultimate goal is to confront the Void itself, but reaching that final confrontation requires careful planning, tactical adaptation, and a healthy respect for the dice.

Enter the Depths appeals to players who enjoy roguelikes with high replayability, deck-builders seeking fresh mechanics, and strategy enthusiasts who appreciate systems where player skill and decision-making matter. If you've enjoyed games like Slay the Spire or Dicey Dungeons, this dice-focused alternative offers a distinct take on the roguelike formula with its own identity and depth.
