Cheap Golf is a surreal, low-poly mini golf experience that defies convention. Developed by Pixeljam, the game casts you into a psychedelic labyrinth of courses designed by SUSAN, an intrusive AI host who narrates your journey with deadpan commentary between levels. Rather than simulating traditional golf, Cheap Golf embraces glitchy physics and absurdist humor, asking you to fling a pixelated cube (the "boop") toward goals across increasingly mind-bending layouts.

The core gameplay loop is deceptively simple: drag to aim, release to shoot, and navigate your boop through each level in as few strokes as possible. However, execution demands precision. You'll master ricochets off walls, calculate complex trajectories, and contend with bizarre obstacles designed to thwart your progress. The physics engine feels intentionally unstable, rewarding creative problem-solving over muscle memory.

With over 1,400 levels spread across multiple episodes, Cheap Golf offers substantial content for players seeking challenge and experimentation. The game includes a Story Mode for those preferring a more forgiving experience, and a hidden level editor for creating custom courses and cutscenes. The retro pixel aesthetic and minimalist design philosophy keep the focus on mechanics rather than spectacle.

Cheap Golf appeals to puzzle enthusiasts and arcade players who appreciate unconventional design. The combination of physics-based gameplay, surreal humor, and relentless difficulty creates an experience that's equal parts frustrating and rewarding. This is not a golf game for golf fans—it's a golf game for people who want something entirely different.
