This Friday, 6 November, the Steam Key for Psychonauts 2 on PC is at the lowest point we have recorded since we started tracking it: €1.34 with coupon Gocdkeys (€1.40 with fees) at Difmark Digital Keys.
How low is €1.40, really
Our key history for this game covers 622 days, and it has never been cheaper than today. The usual figure sits much higher: the historical median is €5.50 (no fees), so today's offer is about 76% below what the key normally costs. The previous low was €2.00 (no fees) on 13 October, and even that was already an unusual dip.
It isn't one store going rogue, either. Counting store rates before coupons and fees, there are eleven Steam Key offers in stock under €2 right now. Some of those rates look lower than Difmark's, but once you add each store's payment fee, the Difmark offer with the coupon is the cheapest you actually pay.
Where to buy it this morning
The offers below update live, so if a store sells out or changes its rate, you'll see it here first.
Remember to type the coupon code Gocdkeys at checkout on Difmark: without it, the rate is €1.60 before fees.
Why a code this cheap still works
What you're buying is a Steam Key: a code you redeem in your own Steam account, and from then on the game sits in your library like any other purchase. That's different from a shared account, where you only get access to someone else's login and the game never becomes yours. We recommend the key, and at this price there's no reason to go for anything else.
One thing to look at before paying: region. Keys can be global or locked to an area such as Europe, the US or the UK. The store page states it, so give it a quick look if you're buying from outside Europe.
What kind of game Psychonauts 2 is
It's a platform adventure from Double Fine and designer Tim Schafer, a sequel to the original Psychonauts. You join the Psychonauts organisation and travel into people's minds, where each level is a surreal brain world packed with puzzles and platforming. Along the way you use mental powers to move objects or make them explode, all while hunting a killer who has been committing his crimes from inside his victims' heads.
If you've had it on your wishlist for a while, it won't get much cheaper than this. If you'd rather wait in case it drops a few more cents, set a price alert and we'll email you. All the shops are on the page for the Psychonauts 2 key.
