The best version of Black Myth Wukong is the PC one, and on console PS5 leads.
PC is the only version with ray-traced reflections, shadows and global illumination, and the only one that goes past 60 FPS. Upscaling is not optional here, and there is plenty of it: TSR, DLSS, FSR and XeSS, with frame generation from all four.
On console the three modes share the same settings and only change resolution and frame rate: quality at 1440p and 30 FPS, balanced at 1080p and 45, performance at dynamic 1080p and 60. PS5 and PS5 Pro are the only ones that keep image quality worth playing in performance mode. Series X raises the average resolution but cuts shadows and global illumination hard.
Series X takes its own back on vegetation draw distance and on some textures, and Series S cuts everywhere. If what you want is stability, balanced mode at 40 FPS with 120Hz is the steadiest option on any of the four consoles.
⚠ It charges you for it: on the highest preset none of the 33 cards measured average 60 fps at 1080p, and an RTX 3060 sits at 9-11.

Resolution, modes and FPS come from the video analyses above. The rest is published by each platform's official store and by the game's technical sheet on PC. Where nobody publishes the figure we put a dash, not a guess.

Xbox is the Series X column unless Series S is stated. Resolution, modes, FPS, VRR and download size come from the videos; HDR, ray tracing and PC features from the technical sheet and the official Xbox catalogue.

PC. It is the only version that lets you turn on ray tracing for reflections, shadows and global illumination, and the only one with free resolution and quality. On console, PS5 lands between the medium and high PC presets, with some textures below the low one.
Three on all four consoles: quality, balanced and performance. They carry the same graphics settings and only change resolution and frame rate. On PS5 that means 1440p at 30 FPS, 1080p at 45 and dynamic 1080p at 60.
The 2024 analysis picks performance, even though its resolution can fall below 720p. The 2025 one, with Xbox in the mix, goes for balanced at 40 FPS with 120Hz on, as the steadiest option. Both hold up, depending on whether you want fluidity or stability.
In performance mode Series X holds a higher average resolution, but cuts shadows and global illumination hard. PS5 and PS5 Pro are the only ones that keep image quality worth playing there. In exchange, Series X wins on vegetation draw distance and on some textures.
It gets all three modes, but cuts across every setting. It shows most in draw distance, shadows, lighting and vegetation.
More than you think at the highest preset. Of the 33 cards we measured, none averages 60 FPS at 1080p: an RTX 4090 sits at 53-59 and an RTX 3060 at 9-11. With upscaling and frame generation the picture changes completely, and the game supports TSR, DLSS 3.1, FSR 3.0, FSR 4 and XeSS 2.
On PC yes, for reflections, shadows and global illumination. It is hugely demanding, but it stands out in some areas. The official Xbox catalogue does not declare it for this game, and PS5 publishes no figure: there, reflections are SSR with a light Lumen assist.
Nothing confirms it. PCGamingWiki marks it as unsupported on PC and the Xbox catalogue does not declare HDR for this game.
When the comparison was recorded there was no PS5 Pro patch, so the image was the same as on PS5. What did improve was frame rate, above all in performance mode, by 10 to 20 FPS in some areas, plus slightly shorter loading times.
The cheapest key is on PC, at 31.49 €. On Xbox the key goes to 35.93 € and on PS5 to 57.55 €. PS5 also has a physical edition at 55.90 €. Watch out for account offers, cheaper (16.29 € on PC, 19.72 € on PS5, 22.65 € on Xbox) because they are not a purchase in your name.
