Even after months on the market, Elden Ring continues to evolve and take giant steps towards constant improvement of the overall gameplay. The recent 1.09 update introduces a highly requested feature: Ray Tracing, along with game balance improvements and various bug fixes. And if that wasn't enough, we'll soon be able to enjoy the new DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree.

If you're a PC user, keep in mind that enabling Ray Tracing will require higher performance from your machine, although the difference is staggering and greatly appreciated, especially in enclosed environments where lighting and shadows improve considerably, enhancing the immersive experience of the title.

Minimum requirements (1080p - Low Ray Tracing settings):

Operating System: Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, 12 GB

Recommended requirements (1080p - High Ray Tracing settings):

Operating System: Windows 11
Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB / AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16 GB

In addition to Ray Tracing, developers have adjusted the balance of various skills used in PvP, especially in the Coliseum. Skills such as Inevitable Frenzy and Fist of Life have been enhanced, while others, like two-handed jumping attacks, have been nerfed. You can find the complete list of changes on Bandai Namco's website, linked in the tweet. Elden Ring continues its ascent to become the undisputed RPG category leader, and with the 1.09 update, the gameplay experience is further improved.
