The wait for digital football fans is coming to an end, this September 23 in the US and 24 in Europe the new Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 will finally go on sale, the fans are expecting this since it was announced back in May during the final of the UEFA champions league. But what can we really expect from the 2017 version of the game ?, PES has always been underrated by critics who compare it with the FIFA game franchise developed by Electronic Arts, undoubtedly the 2017 FIFA (EA will launch it just days after the output of PES 2017) will be a competitive opponent. For now, we know that having to compete against a game officially supported by FIFA has its costs, in this new version many clubs will not be represented by their official names (Athletic Bilbao for example will be called White MD), as the international Football association denied their rights, however Konami could get the rights of Barcelona and Real Madrid, two heavyweights in the sport. Those who could play the early launch say that one of the strengths of PES 2017 is its graphics, superior to glance of his predecessors. This is no surprise, Konami took the bull by the horns and use the powerful graphics engine Fox Engine (yes, the same used in Metal Gear V), which gives the game a reality and level of detail that will astonish many. Konami also decided to improve the artificial intelligence of the game, especially regarding to the gatekeepers, the result is a gameplay that closely approximates the real sport, forcing the games to be more deliberate and users to concentrate more on tactics of passes rather than scoring spectacular goals, this sure will delight those who like the simulation to be faithful to reality. Players are already preparing and will be entering the soccer field in a few weeks, the match of the year between PES and FIFA approaches, and time will tell who will lift the cup this year.
