EA Sports FC 24 is crowned UK sales leader

Over the last week in the UK, the top selling title in physical format has been Electronic Arts' EA Sports FC 24, thanks to attractive offers in both retail and digital distribution. This achievement allows it to top the list, leaving behind several recent releases.

These include Dragon's Dogma 2, Capcom's long-awaited open-world action RPG, which debuts in second place. Right behind is Princess Peach Showtime, another recent release, which takes third place.

Although the sales gap between Dragon's Dogma 2 and Princess Peach Showtime is narrow, some analysts suggest that Nintendo's game may have experienced a weaker week due to a lack of promotion. This is attributed to the fact that in the UK market, the preference for physical formats is still prominent on the Switch console, unlike Xbox and PlayStation, where digital dominates. Therefore, the sales list may not be completely representative, as Dragon's Dogma 2 may have achieved a high percentage of sales in digital format.

In addition, other titles such as Rise of the Ronin for PlayStation 5 and the new Alone in the Dark rank fifth and sixth respectively. Special offers on Amazon have boosted sales of games such as Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which has seen a significant increase in sales.
