The videogame adaptation of the television series The Walking Dead is pulled straight from the comics by Robert Kirkman. The game system is a mixture of action, adventure and RPG. The Walking Dead: "The Big Scary U" Review

Warning Full spoilers for the episode below Given how long The Walking Dead has been running and the one long movie battle aspect of the Season episodes so far it's easy to feel like things are in a rut When things feel stagnant when there's a sameness from week to week one looks for something anything out of the ordinary to spike the story This week in The Big Scary U we got that though it still didn't save the chapter from focusing way too much and giving way too much screen time to characters we don't know or care…

The Walking Dead: "Some Guy" Review

Warning Full spoilers for the episode below In Walking Dead's strongest chapter of Season so far though it wasn't without flaws Ezekiel's weeks of boasting and bravado caught up with him in the worst way when of his squad save for two characters we actually knew and liked got mowed down at the hands of some Saviors with M caliber machine guns It was the biggest setback of Rick's attack plan to date and definitely the biggest moment for Ezekiel to date as a character You might have known something like this was coming if you'd read the comics though…

The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 3 Review: Early Exits And Emerging Conflicts

So much for the big surprise Last week's episode of The Walking Dead ended with the appearance of Morales a character who hasn't been seen since Season Provided you could remember who he was it was a genuine surprise and the episode ended with a cliffhanger between two old allies-turned-enemies Would Rick and Morales explore their shared past shifting allegiances and their different experiences over the intervening years The answer is yes for about five minutes before Daryl put a crossbow bolt in Morales neck near the start of Episode It could be argued that it was redundant to introduce…

The Walking Dead: "Monsters" Review

Warning Full spoilers for the episode below Monsters was the most problematic slice o' war this season so far as it continued Jesus' ridiculous wrong place wrong time mercy crusade gave us a totally unsatisfying non-payoff to the big Morales reveal from last week and lingered far too long on a dying character who after several years we still didn't fully know or care about I mostly care about Aaron since we've spent a few quality moments with him here and there so I've inherently come to care about what he cares about but Eric's fatal wound death here and…

The Walking Dead #173 Review

The Walking Dead has more or less circled back around to where it was in the aftermath of All Out War Once again things are looking up for humanity as our heroes shift focus from the immediate battle for survival to their ongoing effort to rebuild civilization The tone is more optimistic even as it becomes clear there are new threats lurking on the horizon That status quo is still compelling though it does begin to raise the question of how much the series has actually accomplished with arcs like The Whisperer War Does the narrative really need to be…
